Back a few months ago I ran across a fabulous chair at the local salvation army. I’ve painted the chair and have been on a quest to find the perfect fabric to upholster it in. If you don’t know already, GRAY IS IN. Apparently that fact has not caught on around here in the local fabric stores because I’m finding nothing in gray’s! Anyway, that’s for another post…. So I figured I could find what I was looking for online, which happens to be a chenille stripe in charcoal and light gray (which I’m not sure exists..). I found something online at one of the various fabric stores that looked close enough so I ordered it. It turned out being too green so when I went to ship it back I realized the return shipping address was in Moore, OK which is right up the highway from where I live. I stopped in and found a SWEET SPOT. This store is a wholesale supplier that sells to the public online but they will let you shop in the store at the wholesale prices if you happen to find them or know someone who knows about them, they do not advertise. Its basically a storehouse you’ve gotta dig around in but they have a lot of stuff with most of it being $6 a yard! Here is their online site which I was told has most of the items in the shop. Note that the prices on the site are retail and when shopping on location you pay wholesale prices.
Kyle Hix will be upholstering my chair soon, and when it’s done I’ll post all the pictures.
